Angeline Bell, a Malaysian piano teacher and composer, began creating music during the solitude of isolation in March 2022. Her first two collections, My Lyrical Notebook and My Quirky Notebook, reflect her range and versatility—My Lyrical Notebook features 20 romantic pieces performed by Nikolas Sideris, while My Quirky Notebook brings out a playful side with jazz, Latin, and whimsical compositions. Her My Garden Notebook, both composed and performed by Bell, draws from the beauty of her garden and places she’s explored, earning a nomination for Best Contemporary Book from the Art of Piano Education Award. Bell’s latest collection, My Seaside Notebook, spans genres from pop and jazz to Latin and modern classical, highlighting her ability to craft captivating music across diverse styles.
Listening to Silver Birch, I can almost see scenes unfolding as if for a film. Angeline’s music sparks vivid imagery, taking listeners on an emotional journey that feels cinematic. Her classical foundation allows her to shape each note freely, resulting in music that is both polished and profoundly expressive. Silver Birch is especially moving—it invites you to pause, wonder, and explore the landscapes it paints with sound. It’s a beautiful track, embodying both a delicate touch and a boundless sense of curiosity.
