Alessandra Celletti, with roots in classical training, has carved out an enchanting and unique space within the world of piano and composition. Since her debut in 1994 with Les sons et les parfums, which paid homage to Debussy, Ravel, and Satie, Celletti has expanded her repertoire to embrace a vibrant and eclectic mix of composers, including Janáček, Gurdjieff/de Hartmann, Scott Joplin, and Philip Glass. Her journey has seen her evolve from a distinguished interpreter of these diverse voices to a compelling creator in her own right. In 2013, she even launched her audacious "piano piano on the road" tour, bringing music directly to the people of Italy on a truck. Her most recent release, #cellettiblue, is a limited edition on colored vinyl, embodying her creative spirit and commitment to tangible, intimate musical experiences.

Listening to Absinthe Flowers (From her album Working on Satie Second Part)is like experiencing a living tapestry of scales and tonal shifts, reminiscent of Debussy and Satie's impressionistic style. Alessandra’s use of varied scales—moving seamlessly from one to another—brings a sense of fluidity and dreaminess to the piece. The way she layers these scales gives each moment a unique color and texture, capturing the essence of impressionism with remarkable skill. This dynamic interplay of scales not only showcases her technical prowess but also invites listeners into a soundscape that feels spontaneous and deeply expressive. Alessandra’s gift for blending technique with emotion makes her work truly captivating, and I look forward to the paths her creativity will take next.
